No. Get a nice bolt action rifle. The Ruger American, Bergara and Tikka can all be had for about half the price of it and will shoot twice as accurate. To be frank, AR-10s suck for hunting and are unnecessary

Well we shot three seperate ones all at .5 MOA or less. If you are wanting to see point of impact shift under heat, then I can tell you that will happen. It’s a hunting rifle, not a target rifle.

@@HuntFishShootChannel This is common across most gun reviews. I suppose ammo cost may be a primary reason. Statistically, it takes 20-30 shots to really have enough data to know what a rifle is capable of, critical for long range hunting. Hornady did a podcast on this called "Your group sizes are too small". A 1.5 MOA rifle will likely shoot some ransom sub MOA groups. It could even shoot all sub MOA 3 shot groups with cooling in between. But when you superimpose those groups, they might cover 1.5 MOA. This is why MOA guarantees are bogus. All they have to do is get lucky and shoot one 3 shot sub MOA group.

The rifle was shot more than enough and has been outside of the review. It was simply meant to show its capabilities of being a sub MOA gun. People do care about sub MOA guarantees regardless of whether they matter or not to you and I. I agree with you on that front. Yes if you took 20 groups and superimposed them upon each other from an ACCURATE gun you would get a group size larger than just 3-5 rounds. But the fallacy with your point of view is in a hunting application in the hands of a skilled shooter, the most important shot is a cold bore shot. I can nearly guarantee where my cold bore shot will land with my two main rifles. It’s never off. This method has served me well. Outside of a cold bore shot, the modern hunter needs an accuracy potential to shoot 3-5 shots in a group under an inch. As in hunting if the first shot doesn’t successful kill the animal you can guarantee the next two or three will be good enough to kill it. Again I don’t disagree if you shot 20-30 3 shot groups at a point of aim like a one inch circle where each group lies will likely be different. What I can tell you is how many rifles are incapable of shooting consistent 1 MOA groups across the board. Unfortunately, most cannot.

@@HuntFishShootChannel I was referring to only needing 20-30 shots (1 box) or 7-10 3 shot groups. I agree with the cold bore shot being the most important. I would be extremely happy to put 20 cold bore shots within 1 MOA (highly unlikely). The reason this is important (see Hornady) is I think most people think MOA rifles are common. I'll bet most people would be surprised to find that the supposed 0.5 MOA guaranteed rifle actually doesn't do better than 1.5 MOA when put to the 10 group test. I am looking for a new rifle, I have a 90's era browning abolt 7mm rem mag. that averages 1.5 MOA. If I put it to the 10 group test (or cold bore test), I'll bet it won't do better than 2.5MOA. I am a western hunter interested in long range hunting 500+. I am realizing accuracy is the limiting factor, not just energy. My magnum is worthless if I can't get MOA out of it.

@elkhuntr2816 I agree with you. I think we are on the same page 👍 If I can offer some information for you based off all the guns we have shot, I have found Tikka, Sako, Bergara and Springfield Armory Model 2020 rifles to be the most accurate and consistently accurate
